Our Team

Dr Angie Taras is licensed and fully qualified in the US as a General and Aesthetic Surgeon. She is certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery and has completed a Fellowship in Aesthetic Surgery.

Dr Taras founded Avenue Aesthetic Surgery in Melbourne and has since returned to the United States to continue practising there. She remains a mentor to the brand but is no longer consulting or operating in Australia.

Avenue Aesthetic Surgery continues to work with experienced surgeons in Australia.

Dr Lie was born and raised in Singapore. After high school, Dr Lie studied Medicine at Gonville and Caius College in Cambridge University, UK. He moved to Australia in 2011 after his internship year to begin his PhD research at the Jack Brockhoff Research Unit of the University of Melbourne on Reconstructive Surgical Anatomy, under the supervision of Professor Ian Taylor, one of the luminaries of Plastic Surgery. In addition to Dr Lie’s research publications, one of the main papers from his PhD thesis was on the cover of an issue of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
